Ministry of National Defense has stated today (26^th) that in regard to the routine promotion of general-ranked personnel on July 1^st, 2019 the president has approved 6 major generals including Lu Kun-xiu to be promoted to lieutenant generals, and 13 colonels including Wang Guo-liang to be promoted to major generals. All promotions are effective from July 1^st, 2019.

Ministry of National Defense pointed out that the 6 major generals promoted to lieutenant generals include Lu Kun-xiu, Ye Guo-hui, Huang You-min, Wang Shao-hua, Chen Zhong-wen, and Sun Lian-Sheng; the 18 colonels promoted to major generals include Wang Guo-liang, Huang Wen-qi, Hu Rui-xun, Xu Yong-xiang, Ma Jia-long, Yu Da-ren, Xie Zong-bao, Liu Qiang-hua, Hou Jia-lun, Lin Zhi-ying, Zeng An-guo, Chen Yi-fu, and Chen Xue-liang. A total of 26 personnel was promoted.

Ministry of National Defense has further stated that the rank promotion ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. on  June 27^th (Thu) at the Armed Forces Officer’s Club and hosted by the Minister of National Defense Mr. Yen Teh-fa. High ranking officers of the Republic of China Armed Forces and the family members of the promoted personnel are invited to attend the ceremony, and the president will also be present to deliver a speech to increase the morale of the military.
